Deb has been a club director, trainer, coach and tournament director for the Heart of America Region since 1997. Prior to One Volleyball Academy opening OneVA in 2018, located in West Wichita, she had previously owned and directed Club Chaos and Midwest Tournaments.
Retired from teaching physical education in 2019 from the Maize school district. Deb has coached numerous years of middle school and high school volleyball during her tenure.
Deb was a decorated four year, collegiate volleyball player and multi sport athlete. Upon graduation from KWU she traveled the US playing beach and grass doubles volleyball.
The love for the game spilled over to her four children who have played competitive volleyball at a young age and went on to play at the collegiate level. Deb's children now play and coach with the support of their spouses. You can be sure they are passing on the love for the game to their own children today.
"My desire as your Club Director and Owner of One Volleyball Academy is to continue to create a Christ centered culture of excellence.
This is where our families and players can find a home and feel where they belong, to be a part of something special. I want our players wanting to come back even after they have graduated in hopes that they are proud of where they have trained and the person they have become while being a part of OneVA." #WeAreOne

She then went on to play in college, but due to a knee injury stopped playing competitively, but enjoys scrimmaging with her players and playing sand in her free time! She is originally from Illinois but moved to Wichita to further her education!
She got into coaching to watch the players grow and to help them find the same love for the game that she did!
